Mekorot Ashkelon groundwater facility

retrofitting liquid hypochlorite with CQM WATER on-site, brine-free hypochlorite generation
Migdal 4 Pumping Station supplies 150-200 cubic meters/hour of ground water. Due to its proximity to residential neighborhoods, Mekorot engineers decided to eliminate the transportation and storage of liquid hypochlorite by upgrading to on-site chlorine generation. This station is essential for the local water supply system and operates continuously.

Following the upgrade, Mekorot southern water supply unit reported a 60% reduction in maintenance costs compared to previous liquid chlorine systems at sites with similar characteristics.

Due to the successful upgrade to CQM WATER’s electro chlorination devices in Midgal 4, additional devices were ordered for several more groundwater facilities in the Southern Unit.
